A group of organizations have come together to work on a solution that will provide digital access to Covid-19 vaccination records. As the country eyes a challenging transition to the new normal, a verifiable vaccine record will be necessary to ensure individual and community safety.
A coalition, comprising of health technology companies, providers and nonprofits, announced Thursday that they will establish an initiative to provide people with digital access to their Covid-19 vaccination records.
Two vaccines have so far been approved for administration in the U.S. — one developed by Pfizer and BioNTech, and the other by Moderna. The collaborative effort comes as doses of the vaccines are slowly making their way across the country, and people are figuring out what the next phase of the pandemic will look like.

Facebook AI, la division de recherche en intelligence artificielle de Facebook, et l'Ecole de médecine de l'Université de New-York (NYU) ont développé trois systèmes d'apprentissage automatique capables de prédire jusqu'à 4 jours à l'avance si l'état d'un patient atteint du Covid-19 va se détériorer, à partir de ses radiographies du thorax. Les chercheurs viennent de publier leurs modèles sur GitHub.
Anticiper la demande en oxygène
Ces algorithmes doivent permettre d'éviter de renvoyer trop tôt un patient à domicile alors que son état pourrait se détériorer par la suite et aux hôpitaux d'anticiper la demande en oxygène.
Dans les détails, l’un prédit la détérioration du patient sur la base d’une seule radiographie pulmonaire, un autre fait de même avec une série de radiographies et un troisième utilise une seule radiographie pour prédire la quantité d’oxygène supplémentaire (le cas échéant) dont un patient pourrait avoir besoin.
